Colour Philosophy

We are committed to using dyes that are safe for both people and the planet. Our approach includes:

  • Natural Plant-Based Dyes: Extracted from renewable sources like indigo, turmeric, and madder root, these dyes offer vibrant colours without harmful chemicals.
  • Compostable Dyes: Used in threads and certain fabrics, these dyes biodegrade naturally, leaving no harmful residue.

Use of such organic dyes can drop chemical runoff by about 50–70%—roughly 0.5–1 kg less runoff per production unit compared to conventional methods. Choosing non-toxic dyes and organic materials can reduce workers’ exposure-related health risks (e.g., respiratory issues, skin conditions) by up to 70%. Also, such biodegradable practices (dyes and textiles) can help reduce harmful VOC emissions by around 80% compared to conventional methods, and can lower energy use by about 20%, which may translate to roughly 5–10 kWh saved per production batch
